The inaugural Eyecare Plus Entrepreneurs’ Club has been labelled as a major success, with members set to present the results of their projects at the upcoming High-Performance Summit in Noosa in May 2025.

The Entrepreneurs’ Club was established as part of Eyecare Plus’ commitment to support motivated members in growing and improving their practices through innovation, accountability, and peer to peer collaboration.

From its inception 25 years ago, Eyecare Plus has positioned itself as a home for entrepreneurial optometrists who do not compete with each other, instead creating a network that resists corporatisation and embraces the power of collective peer-to-peer learning.

According to the network, the Entrepreneurs’ Club builds on this by giving members the opportunity to develop projects that deliver tangible business outcomes, all while being supported by fellow members in monthly online meetings.

Eyecare Plus high performance manager Ms Yvette Safier said the program had already exceeded expectations.

“The first Entrepreneurs’ Club has exceeded expectations and has been a powerful way of building on our peer-to-peer learning program,” she said.

“We’ve seen members take on bold, creative, and highly practical projects that are already making a difference in their practices.”

Projects undertaken by the Entrepreneurs’ Club members have spanned a wide range of business ideas.

Several participants focused on communication and automation, to improved patient engagement and operational efficiency.

Others tackled staffing and internal performance, and several projects also explored clinical and technological upgrades.

Marketing and expansion strategies also featured.

Each of these projects will be presented at the High-Performance Summit in Noosa, where club members will share their results and insights with fellow club members.

Importantly, the learnings and intellectual property developed through the Entrepreneurs’ Club will be shared with all Eyecare Plus members through their program of member meetings, workshops, and conferences.

Eyecare Plus said the Entrepreneurs’ Club was now positioned as a flagship initiative within the group, reinforcing its efforts to empower optometrists to remain independent and be entrepreneurial, innovative, and successful.
