EssilorLuxottica has announced two key internal appointments for its ANZ operations, marking a major milestone as part of the company’s unification strategy.
The appointment of Mr Stephen Locke and Ms Larissa Brander are within EssilorLuxottica’s ANZ Wholesale business. It follows the March 2022 announcement of Mr Marco Caccini as general manager of the Wholesale ANZ organisation.
Locke will step into the role of VP – optical channel, leading the frames and lenses sales team in the optical channel with focus on the independent practices.
Brander will lead Wholesale marketing, as the marketing director with a focus on developing key sell-out and partnership initiatives for EssilorLuxottica customers across all channels.
According to a statement, the changes mark another significant step in the EssilorLuxottica ANZ strategic journey as a unified company, combining its expertise in lens technology, eyewear manufacturing, instruments, and services.
Luxottica – the Italian-headquartered global eyewear maker and retailer – and international lens manufacturer Essilor, agreed to merge in 2017 in a multibillion-dollar deal.
In ANZ, EssilorLuxottica said the alignment of the core business areas aims to build a strong value proposition to better support and serve customers in future.
“These key sales and marketing leaders will help to shape the new organisation, combining strong experience across the optical industry in ANZ,” Caccini said.
