The Dry Eye Society (DES) has announced an upcoming Melbourne wet lab event, an interactive educational experience designed for eyecare practitioners seeking hands-on training in contemporary dry eye management techniques and technologies.
The event will take place on Sunday, 14 June 2026 from 9:00am–1:00pm at:Richard Lindsay & Associates, 1 Ellsa St, Balwyn North VIC.
The DES said this practical wet lab event would provide attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with leading dry eye procedures and devices through a series of interactive stations.
Wet lab stations will include:
Station One – IPL beyond MGD – OptiLight
Station Two – LLLT
Station Three – ZEST/Rinsada
Station Four – Dry Eye Diagnostics
Station Five – Getting your hands dirty MGX/Debridement/Lacrimal Lavage
The event has been developed to support practitioner education, confidence, and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of dry eye disease and ocular surface management.
Attendance is exclusively available to society members. Practitioners interested in attending must be DES members and can sign up via the membership page.
The DES said it continued to expand its educational offerings nationally, bringing together clinicians with a shared commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based dry eyecare and practical clinical learning.
