At the RANZCO Congress in Brisbane (28 October – 1 November), Device Technologies Australia (DTA) will expand its recently launched Meridian Laser portfolio with newly-registered Merilas laser range. The Merilas solid state diode laser systems are available in 532, 577 and 810nm wavelengths and all feature Meridian’s patented thermo electrical cooling system.
According to the company, the technology removes the need for ventilation slots and noisy vans while preventing dust ingression offering a robust, reliable and long life laser system.
“DTA will be proudly exhibiting the Merilas lasers along with the MRQ YAG Laser system at RANZCO in Brisbane in late October, and looking further ahead, is excited about launching another model to the Meridian line-up in first quarter of 2023, more news to come,” the company stated.
Meanwhile, DTA will also be exhibiting the Eyestar at the congress. Since introducing the system to the Australian market in late 2021, it continues to advance with recent launch of two new modular upgrades. The extended topogrpahy and anterior segment modules, now available on the Eyestar, are said to offer cataract and refractive surgeons a “one-stop-shop” for their surgical planning.
“These new modules enable extended anterior and posterior topography measurement areas, as well as 18mm anterior segment OCT imaging. Combined with the existing C-Suite, surgeons can now evaluate all relevant ocular properties in a single instrument to promote improved refractive outcomes.”
