Australian lens manufacturer CR Labs says it has set a “new benchmark” with the launch of Satin+.
In a media release celebrating a “year of success and innovation”, the company said Satin+ was a “premium coating offering superior scratch resistance, smudge repellence, and ease of cleaning”.
To ensure the highest quality of the coating and other products, CR Labs installed its own testing facility, where all its coatings undergo rigorous research and testing.
“This initiative highlights our commitment to delivering durable and reliable products for both practitioners and patients,” it said.
This year had been a transformative one for the company, “defined by pioneering advancements, meaningful partnerships, and a commitment to strengthening independent optometry across Australia”.
“From launching cutting-edge products to collaborating with key industry groups, CR Labs has continued to lead the way in innovation and support for practices nationwide.”
Those new products included Australis Grad and Australis Easy.
Australis Grad is a cost-effective, entry-level multifocal lens, providing independent optometrists with an accessible solution for patients seeking reliable, budget-friendly eyewear.
Australis Easy caters to the middle market, offering a higher-tier progressive lens with enhanced comfort and performance.
“Together, these lenses reflect CR Labs’ dedication to meeting diverse patient needs while supporting independent practices with versatile solutions,” the company said.
CR Labs was also excited about its partnership with Safilo and the Full Circle Program, which involves seamless eyewear packages that combine CR Labs’ premium lenses with globally recognised fashion frames.
“This initiative helps practices compete with retail chains by delivering high-quality, ready-to-wear eyewear solutions,” it said.
“The addition of the SMITH Rx program further enhanced this offering, providing practices with added value through in-store merchandise incentives.”
2024 also marked the start of CR Labs’ partnership with Eyecare Plus, which has enabled the manufacturer to expand its reach and provide tailored support, helping practitioners deliver exceptional care to their patients.
To further support independent optometry, it has also welcomed another talented optometrist to its Professional Services Team in 2024.
“Under the guidance of Dr Fiona Om, this growing team delivers invaluable clinical education, product expertise, and troubleshooting support to practices nationwide, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the industry.”
CR Labs also played prominent roles in a number of key industry events during 2024, including the Provision Edge24 Conference, the Eyecare Plus Conference, and O-SHOW, where it unveiled its Australis VR Office platform.
In addition to these conferences, CR Labs sponsored the Optical Dispensers Australia Gala.
