CR Labs has launched ECO7, its latest innovation in sustainable lens technology.
The company says the new lens builds on the success of the ECO6 range, bringing the same exceptional quality and environmental consciousness to a 1.74 high-index material, offering patients thinner and lighter lenses “with the clarity and comfort they expect”.
Set to debut at ODMAFair25, it says ECO7 represents the next evolution in eco-conscious lens design – one that meets the needs of independent practices and their patients without compromise.
“ECO7 is everything independent practices have been asking for,” says CR Labs marketing manager Ms Alisha Khan.
“It’s high-performing, beautifully crafted, and continues our mission to make sustainability a natural part of optical care.”
Like its predecessor, ECO7 is manufactured using a sustainable resin blend derived from renewable sources.
CR Labs says it delivers the same optical precision and durability the ECO range is known for, in an even thinner form factor ideal for patients with stronger prescriptions.
“ECO6 set a new standard in sustainable lens design,” says CR Labs professional services manager Dr Fiona Om.
“ECO7 takes that a step further, offering a high-index option that doesn’t compromise on quality, comfort, or our environmental commitment.”
This upcoming launch builds on the success of CR Labs’ ongoing Green Looks Good on You campaign, which champions the environmentally conscious choices made by independent practices every day.
The company says the response from the optical community has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting a growing demand for ethical options in eyecare.
“People want to feel good about what they’re wearing, and that includes their lenses,” says Khan. “ECO7 delivers on that, giving practices a meaningful way to offer patients sustainable solutions that also perform at the highest level.”
ECO7 will be officially unveiled at ODMAFair25, where attendees will be among the first to learn more about its features and benefits. Details around wider availability will be shared following the event.
