BOC Instruments has announced the release of a new Optovue optical coherence tomography (OCT) system, the AutoFusion, which combines OCT imaging with a fundus camera in a single unit.
According to the company, the AutoFusion is an automated dual-modality device designed to simplify image capture. It features what BOC Instruments describes as a single-tap workflow, with automated alignment, focus, tracking and capture supported by 3D auto-tracking technology.
The system integrates a built-in PC and tiltable touch-screen display in a compact footprint. BOC Instruments says the device produces high-resolution OCT scans alongside 12-megapixel colour retinal images.
The company reports that the AutoFusion provides a range of analysis options, including retinal, glaucoma, anterior segment and pachymetry reports. It also offers optic nerve and macular analysis from a single wide 3D scan, as well as features such as ETDRS thickness mapping, ganglion cell complex analysis, RNFL and optic nerve head parameter tracking, and trend analysis to monitor structural changes over time.
BOC Instruments says scan modes include line, cross, radial and anterior segment options, with corneal and pachymetry mapping available.
The distributor has supplied Optovue OCT systems to the Australian ophthalmology and optometry sectors for 18 years, and currently offers several models, including the AutoFusion, i-Scan80, i-Vue80, Solix Essential and Solix FullRange, with optional corneal topography functions.
