Asia-Pacific saw the biggest growth in Q4 as eyewear maker EssilorLuxottica reported a 9.4% rise in global operating profit to €4.4 billion (AU$7.3 billion) in 2024.
A media release said that was on the back of a 9.2% rise in revenue in the fourth quarter, bringing the total revenue for the year to €26.5 billion (AU$43.8 billion).
In Asia-Pacific, that revenue rose 14.1% to €864 million (AU$1.43 billion) in the fourth quarter, and 7% over the full year, at €3.2 billion (AU$5.29 billion).
The next best over Q4 was EMEA at 9.6%, with North America posting 8.3% growth.
“We celebrate another year of remarkable achievements, with our fourth consecutive year of top-line growth on track with our targets, including a strong acceleration in Q4, with all regions and businesses contributing to our momentum, followed by new record high in the group’s profits,” said Mr Francesco Milleri, chairman and CEO, and Mr Paul du Saillant, deputy CEO.

Highlights reported include:
- Ray-Ban Meta at 2 million units sold since the launch, with strong acceleration in 2024.
- Nuance Audio cleared, starting off in the US OTC and Europe.
- Stellest continuing to be strong in China, up approx. 50% in revenue in Q4.
