American Express cards now accepted at HICAPS terminals

If not automatically set up, health-care providers can contact American Express to have that feature activated on their HICAPS terminal.
The agreent is a significant win for HICAPS healthcare providers. According to the Reserve Bank, American Express card mbers spend on average a third more than other card-holders. Roy Morgan research in February 2013 revealed more than a third of American Express card mbers prefer to shop at a small business that accepts American Express.
To mark the partnership, American Express is giving health-care providers the opportunity to win one of 120 $5,000 small business grants. Entry is automatic once an American Express transaction is processed and each subsequent transaction increases the chance to win.
