Alcon, a global leader in eyecare, has announced the expansion of its Alcon Experience Academy, an umbrella for the company’s training for eyecare professionals.
In a media release, it said this on-demand learning platform had tailored content for ophthalmologists, surgical support staff, optometrists and optometry retail support staff.

The Alcon Experience Academy reflects our dedication to delivering high-quality, accessible training for optometrists and practice staff,” said Nadia Michaels, head of Professional Education and Development for Alcon Australia & New Zealand.
The company said the Alcon Experience Academy delivered thousands of courses globally each year.
The newly redesigned website offers a seamless interface and easy access to:
- Many e-learning modules, educational videos and more from thought-leaders and educators
- Tailored content and learning journeys on key topics including Ocular Comfort, Aftercare, Presbyopia, Astigmatism, Contact Lens Materials, Contact Lens Fitting, Contact Lens Technologies, Ocular Surface for Optometry; and
- Resources on disease states and the latest advancements in Alcon’s innovations
Currently in Australia & New Zealand, optometrists can access 15 modules, with new content constantly being added.
Optometry retail staff currently have access to three modules.
