The Australasian College of Optical Dispensing (ACOD) has announced it will offer fee relief to all students in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
Mr James Gibbins, ACOD director and senior teacher, said fee relief is available immediately to all existing students and special flexible arrangements can be made for employers considering enrolling a student as well. The initiative was announced on 30 March.
“ACOD recognises that a period of self-isolation could actually be used very productively by students to make wonderful progress with their online studies, and we want to encourage this without them having the added burden of needing to make their next payment,” Gibbins said.
“Therefore, students or their employers are invited to contact the ACOD office to formalise fee relief and time extension.”
Gibbins said ACOD’s teachers were “well and ready to assist all of our students throughout Australia and New Zealand to progress with their study”.
“New workshop schedules will be established as soon as possible, and students and employers should feel free to contact us for help at any time,” he said.
