The agreent was signed by Prof Janet Hergt, dean of UniMelb’s Faculty of Science and Ms Maureen O’Keefe, chief executive officer of the ACO.
The DOVS is a department within the Faculty of Science. Ms O’Keefe was appointed as ACO’s CEO in March this year.
In describing the event, DOVS’ head of department, Prof Algis Vingrys said: “This agreent recognises the long-term historical association between the university and the college, particularly in the areas of teaching and research, as well as the valuable interactions between our staff and students, and the close proximity of the college and university in the Carlton/Parkville precinct.
“The university and the college were affiliated previously from 1961 until 2004, and the new agreent is very much welcomed by both organisations”.
