The Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) has confirmed its board appointments for the next two years following its annual general meeting on Tuesday 26 August.
The peak body representing behavioural optometry in Australia and New Zealand announced that six directors were re-elected to the board.
They were: Ms Melissa Allen, owner of The Eye Site in Caringbah, New South Wales; Ms Lisa Bakker, owner of Eyes at Narangba in Queensland; Mr Evan Brown, owner of Howes & Brown Optometrists in Auckland, New Zealand; Mr Fernando Lamas, owner of Lamas and Brown Optometrists in Wollongbar (Lismore) and Casino in NSW; Ms Carolyn McIlvin, owner of OptimEyes Optometry in Frenchs Forest, NSW; and Mr Niall McCormack from Hastings, New Zealand.
Mr Kevin O’Brien retired from the board at the AGM.
The board has appointed Bakker as president, McCormack as vice president, Lamas as treasurer, and McIlvin as secretary.
Allen will transition into the role of immediate past president.
