The Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) has announced that the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) will be hosting its annual conference in conjunction with ODMAFair25.
ACBO Connect 2025 will take place on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th June, 2025, at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
A media release from ODMA said the partnership “brings two of the most significant events in the optical industry together, offering an unmatched opportunity for optometrists, vision therapists, and industry professionals to enhance their learning, network with peers, and discover the latest innovations in the eyecare sector”.
Ms Amanda Trotman, CEO of ODMA, said: “I am thrilled that ACBO have come on board to work with ODMA to enable their delegates to attend and benefit from ODMAFair25.”
She said it was “an absolute win-win for all stakeholders. Visitors get even more value for their time investment as they will be able to visit the trade fair during lunch breaks and after the completion of their program”.
ACBO Connect 2025 offers two full days of advanced professional development focused on neuro-developmental concepts in behavioural vision care and vision therapy.
Delegates will also have access to the ODMAFair25 exhibition, where the latest technologies, products, and services in optical care will be on display.
They will also be able to earn CPD hours – valid in both Australia and New Zealand – enhancing the value of their participation.
Ms Anne-Marie McNally, CEO of ACBO, said: “We are thrilled to be co-locating our annual conference with ODMAFair25, giving our members access to their two ‘must-not-miss’ events under the one roof.”
She added that ACBO Connect 2025 would provide two full days of “learning and sharing knowledge and experiences with other passionate behavioural optometrists and vision therapists”.
In addition to the ACBO conference, ODMAFair25 will feature collaborations with major industry bodies, including a confirmed partnership with Optometry Australia NSW/ACT and Optometry Development Australia (ODA).
“With these collaborations and the co-location of ACBO Connect 2025, ODMAFair25 is shaping up to be a monumental event for the optical industry,” the release said.
“It promises to deliver a vast range of educational opportunities and networking potential for optometrists and practices across Australia and New Zealand.”
