The Sydney Children's Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital Eye Clinic now has a website available to the public and referrers, such as optometrists and general medical practitioners.

According to Optometry NSW/ACT, the website provides referrers with easier access to essential Eye Clinic information for both children and adults, including:

  • Referral procedures and criteria, including the Eye Clinic's official referral form
  • The conditions that the Eye Clinic treats
  • Details of the Eye Clinic's consultants
  • Contact numbers for urgent/emergency cases.

For patients, it contains useful 'patient journey' information such as how to book or change an Eye Clinic appointment, what to expect during a visit to the Eye Clinic and directions/maps and transport information.

The website also has referral and other information about the Outback Eye Service, an outreach ophthalmic service that is delivered by the Prince of Wales Hospital Department of Ophthalmology for patients living in regional NSW.
