O=MEGA PREVIEW: The Optos Monaco device will be unveiled to Australia’s optometric market for the first time at O=MEGA.

Monaco – first launched to Australia’s ophthalmic sector in November – is the first ultra-widefield retinal imaging system combined with OCT.

The device produces a 200° single-capture optomap image in less than half a second and also provides cross-sectional 40° OCT views of retinal structures. According to the manufacturer, the unique nature of the compact two-in-one model should improve practice efficiency and generate increased clinical data.

For the first time the company will also offer Optos Advance on-booth training. Optos Advance is the imaging review software used in conjunction with the company's ultra-widefield imaging devices. Interested parties can register online.
