Safilo Australia, with CR Labs, is bringing Carrera Authentic Prescription Lenses to the Australian optical market, in the latest development as part of the companies’ Full Circle Program.
According to a statement, Carrera Authentic Prescription Lenses offer consumers the opportunity to receive the same authentic Carrera style and quality in both their frames and lenses.
At its core, each pair of Carrera Authentic sunglasses and prescription glasses come complete with a Carrera Logo engraving on the lens, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity card.
“These additions are a guarantee of quality and help provide the 100% Carrera Brand experience. Both the frames and lenses come with market-leading warranties to reinforce the quality of the brand and performance of the product,” Safilo said in a statement.
Mr David Pearson, Safilo’s senior commercial director for APAC, said by offering Carrera Authentic Prescription Lenses to the Australian market, Safilo and its lens partner CR Labs were helping to empower independent optometry and engage patients like never before.
“The result is a ‘complete’ eyewear offer that matches lenses perfectly with the shapes, curvatures and designs of Carrera frames and sunglasses,” he said.
“We are combining an authentic brand experience with lens product excellence. Along with all the benefits of our Full Circle complete pair initiative, we have a compelling offer for independent optical practices to recommend to their patients.”
Operating from CR Labs’ facility in Melbourne, Victoria, the new Full Circle Program has been established to deliver swift and efficient fitting of selected lenses into various Safilo frames, helping speed up the time it takes eyewear to reach the practice and reduce back-and-forth logistics.
CR Labs CEO Mr Adam Fletcher said the company was proud to be exclusively licensed to produce the new range of Carrera Authentic Prescription Lenses.
“CR Labs and Safilo have the same quality expectations of their brands and products and we are excited to expand the Full Circle complete pair program with the addition of Carrera Authentic Prescription Lenses,” he said.
“World-leading multifocal and single vision lenses complete with easy clean scratch-resistant UV coatings will be available for the range of Carrera products included within the Full Circle Program.”
