The fellowship is open to researchers based in eligible Australian institutions to pursue research into nutritional and/or lifestyle aspects of macular degeneration, consistent with the mission of the Macular Disease Foundation Australia to reduce the incidence and impact of macular degeneration.
In 2015 the Foundation will provide a two-year research fellowship of A$50,000 per annum (excluding GST). It is a requirent that the cash and in-kind contribution of the applicant’s host institution at least matches the foundation’s contribution. The fellowship is on a full-time basis for two years.
