MD Awareness Week Launch

Macular Degeneration Awareness Week was launched on Sunday 23 May at the HC Coombs Centre in Kirribilli, Sydney. Julie Heraghty – CEO of the foundation- welcomed around fifty carefully selected guests to the launch. The launch event featured well-known celebrity and MD patron - Ita Buttrose, the Foundation’s Director- Dr Paul Beaumont, and Queensland minister for Disability Services and Multicultural Affairs- Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, who was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration six years ago.
