Luxottica now offering Institute of Learning courses to all optometrist

In October 2009, Luxottica’s Institute of Learning launched the EyeCare Learning e-learning platform for Luxottica’s optometrists. After trialling the program internally for almost a year, EyeCare Learning will be open to all optometrists from 15 September.

The decision to open the course offerings to all optometrists was based on the number of requests the IOL has received from external optometrists looking for “an alternate self-directed web-based solution that can be used where and when they want”, Dr Peter Herse, academic director of the IOL, told Insight.
